Welcome back my fellow drivers; previously we learned how to "scan". Here's a reminder of how to scan: look ahead at least 10 seconds in font of you, look left, look right; and those are the basics of "scanning". Today I was looking at my car and I realized that the glass is very dirty.
I thought having clean glass might be important so I looked it up in my book and this is what I found: "It is important that you are able to see clearly through the windows, windshield, and mirrors. Here are some things you can do to help:
- Carry liquid cleaner and a paper or cloth towel so you can clean your windshield when necessary.
- Keep your window washer bottle full.
- Clear snow, ice, or frost from all windows before driving" (2-5).
With this advice from the book I decided to clean my windows! I started off with scraping ice and frost off of my car on every window; so that I can clean the rest of my windows later without having ice interfere with my cleaning. Then I cleaned the windshield with some simple glass cleaner so I can clearly see in front of me, the most important part of driving. . After following these steps that the book told me I noticed that my windows were much cleaner and more clear so I can be safer on the road. Another thing I read in the book basically said to keep my lights clean as well (2-5). Because of this I cleaned my lights off so they are sparkly clean now.

Overall I would definitely recommend cleaning your car either completely or just the windows because I believe it is making driving much easier.
How often do you (or your parents) take care of your car?

Hey Ryan! This was a really useful post. I often find myself having to just sit in my car waiting for my windows to defrost in the mornings just so that I can see where I am going. I think that I should invest in an ice scraper for sure, in order to cut my waiting time in half possibly. And to answer your question, I usually try to vacuum out and wash my car every other week just to keep it clean and in tip-top shape. Again, great post!
