Photography

I'm not the biggest fan of taking risks, or stepping out of my comfort zone, and doing exactly that is key to getting amazing pictures. You can't expect to get beautiful landscape pictures by holding a camera out of your front door. "Chances are you're not going to be able to make great pictures without leaving your house" (Kelby 241). This is probably the main reason all my pictures were just kind of okay. I took them all in my backyard, and my backyard isn't all that interesting. And there's only so much you can shoot in your backyard. If you want more variation in your images your going to have to go places.

"Do whatever it takes to get the shots you want, or you'll wind up with a lifetimes worth of photos you're disappointed with" (Kelby 242). Don't let your comfort zone hold you back from getting the perfect shot. If you need to stand on your chair at a restaurant to get the perfect shot of your meal for instagram, do it. If that means asking a stranger on the street if it's okay for you to take their picture, do that. Do whatever it takes to get the perfect shot.

Question: When have you ever had to step out of your comfort zone?
