- There two types people who decide to maintain they're body
2. There are those who go to the gym daily

If you want to get really big muscle mass , then I think going to the gym will be your best choice but if you don't have access to the gym , you will have to do it the old fashioned way. Many people enjoy the privacy of training in their own home gym. There is no wait to use a machine and they can play whatever music they want- and it's open 24/7. But some enjoy the social atmosphere and variety at a gym. The benefits from working out at home are things like not having to follow a specific schedule , looking scrappy , recovery and results are in your kitchen and plus you can buy a dumbbell or two and make it a mini gym." Training is very convenient - you can train whenever you want to, without having to travel ( Macnab 14)". The benefits from going to a gym are things like fewer distractions , higher investment in your time and money, diversity and huge selection of equipment and inspiration from the other fit people." People who train at home are more likely to give up. Exercising at home can be lonely, and does not provide the motivation that comes from training around large groups of people ( Macnab 14)". For me, I like a mixture of both. In this case, that is having dumbbells inside your house but being able to do just pushups. This is referred to as a mini gym. What I usually do is pushups and other workouts by hand and then I use the dumbbells to tear my muscles to the point where they will grow more. I don't work out everyday but I do it from time to time ( every other day)
Question: What method would you prefer , home or gym?
Hey Doyal!
ReplyDeleteI usually just workout at my house, but I prefer going the gym. My dad has a lot of weight lifting equipment at home, but the gym I go to has more machines and a pool that I can use if I want to swim as a part of my workout. The only problem that I have with going to the gym is that it is often crowded. On some days, like Saturday afternoons, I often have to wait to use a machine or share a lane in the pool. This is really inconvenient for me because I like to get done with my workouts fairly quickly. Despite these flaws, I still prefer working out at the gym because I feel like I get a more complete workout there. The reason that I workout more at home is because it is convenient. I don't have my drivers license yet, so I have to have my dad drive me to the gym whenever I work out which is annoying.
I personally prefer to go to the gym. When I workout I like to have people by me because that is motivating me to do more than if I was just working out by myself at home. But at home I think that it is easier to focus because it just you and you are being distracted by everyone around you.
ReplyDeleteThe method I prefer is the gym. When I workout I use different equipment. This is different from working out at home because I don't have as much equipment as a gym. Another reason I like going to the gym is like Charles said it helps motivate me. If I'm working out with a gym partner I will be motivated to do more workouts for longer.
ReplyDeleteI prefer going to the gym to work out mostly because I will go with some other people to keep me company and spot me as well. The part I hate most about going to the gym, besides having to wait for a machine, is finding the motivation to get out of bed and go an entire mile and a half to the gym. Overall yes I'd choose the real gym over my home gym, but both have their pros and cons.

ReplyDeleteI believe you selected a great topic because many people have a hard time staying in shape, especially in the winter. I like how you stated a firm opinion about how you liked staying home better then actually going home. Having your own opinion on the gym is something I liked hearing. This post reminds me to stay in shape every day. Thank you Doyal and continue to have fun doing those pushups at home!
ReplyDeleteaye Doyal. I prefer to do both because I agree with you. I do pay a fee to go to the gym but there's no doubt I'd rather be working at home. The gym is crowded, gross, and busy but for me they have expensive machines i NEED to use. I do however work half at home with the performance gym in my home. Good blog
