I then mixed the wet and dry ingredients into two separate bowls and then carefully poured the wet into the dry. "Measure out and mix the wet ingredients in one bowl and and the dry ingredients in another, after mixing ingredients slowly pour wet into dry and fold in" (Price). Once the ingredients had been mixed i evenly portioned the mixture into six separate bowls. To add color to the simple vanilla cake i added 2-3 drops of food coloring into each bowl. I then poured the different colors randomly into 3 baking trays to create the rainbow effect and popped the trays into the oven for 20 minutes. "Bake for 30 to 40 minutes in the preheated oven. For cupcakes, bake 20 to 25 minutes. Cake is done when it springs back to the touch" (Price). To add an extra something to the cake, I decided to put Nutella in between the layers of the cake. To finish off i covered the cake in fluffy vanilla icing and added sprinkles to the top.
Overall this recipe was super fun and pretty simple to make! It was a bit too sweet for my liking but my little brother said he loved it. What kind of creative things have you ever tried to bake?
