The book says that buckling up correctly is the most effective thing you can do if you get in a crash; not the mention ITS THE LAW (2-6). Here the book says to correctly buckle up:
Proper Seatbelt
- "Put the shoulder belt across the middle of your chest and away from your neck.
- Adjust the lap belt across your hip bones below your stomach.
- NEVER put the shoulder belt behind your back or under an arm" (2-6).
This is wrong because its touching my neck
I first tried putting on the seatbelt without actually thinking about what I was doing, just as I would naturally put it on. And I think I might not be safe just following my first sense. So then I tried putting on my seatbelt again, this time, following the book.
Seatbelt loose around the waist
I would definitely recommend thinking about seatbelts and making sure your family understands the importance of having a seatbelt in the first place. I notice I don't only feel safer, but more comfortable in the car
What is your opinion or previous experience with seatbelts?

Great post Ryan. I feel that this post is very important as many teens our age are now getting their drivers license and are able to have the luxury of driving on their own. This is also a great topic because it reminds others that having a seatbelt on can save lives. Thank you Ryan.
