Abandoned Space
“It tough to resist the melancholy allure of
neglected structures” (Owen 175). This is why I took some abandoned of fort Casey.
Going to this place that I saw I was not trying to capture something that is I was
trying to capture something that once was. Also it was pretty easy access
considering that it is a park and that is was a safe place to take pictures. I had spent the day there and planned to go to
the fort because my grandparents live close near there. It’s not good to go to
theses place alone, this sounds cliché but it’s good to have someone else there
with you, so you’re not alone. I had planned on different times of do for the
mood and to in enhance the lights and colors of the picture. Finding this
photo-worthy for this type of topic. Was a luck idea that had come across my
mind when I was up there.

As you can see the picture
to the left here it taken up on one of the towers over looking part of the fort
and the ocean. To show the crumbling on
the edges of the photograph. The timing of day showing the shadow of the building
onto the grass field. The sun close to setting of in the left back ground. While as you see of to the right here. The
gated part in the back is the cabals for the electrical system. While crank
that would lift the ammo because that is safer then carrying it up stairs to
load the cannon. The rusting of the metal gate, I had thought it was the perfect
example to show the time that had passed by. Finally, to show the lighting and
where the sun is in the day. The angles to show the length of the one side of
the fort. With the crack off to the left side, having to be repaired. The old fashion railing for that era.
